Entries open for Scottish Comedian of the Year 2017 with Iain Stirling hosting the Final

Well it is that time of year again. Entries for the Scottish Comedian of the Year 2017 are now being accepted.

This year’s SCOTY final will take place on Sunday 26th November at Glasgow’s new Rotunda Comedy Club. The final will be hosted by the voice of ITV2’s Love Island, Former SCOTY finalist Iain Stirling.

Previous SCOTY winners like Larry Dean (who has just recorded Live at the Apollo) and Rosco Mclelland (who has just signed for Gag Reflex) have won a trip to Australia to perform to sell out audiences there. As have their English & Irish counterparts Brennan Reece (EdComAward nominee) and Steve Bennett.

It’s where all the cool kids and award winners end up. Will you be doing similar?

Thanks to Brexit this year’s cash prize will only be £1000.
